Lately I've been listening a lot to Little Mix. Well a lot... I can better say the whole time. Why I haven't started listening earlier to their songs?! Because Little Mix is seriously the best girl band ever (says even this former Spice Girls fan)!
What I like about these UK girls, is besides their stunning voices, they make a difference by actually singing songs that are very inspirational, motivational and uplifting. Not that other songs don't do that, but it's very refreshing to hear a girls band singing songs that are not constantly related to boys stuff. That's why Little Mix is such a good role model for every girl out there. Need a proof? Then you must listen to "Salute", which is the named after their debut album Salute, who was released a week ago in the USA.
"Salute" is the ultimate girl-power anthem. I know we already had "Run the World" of Beyonce, but Little Mix's anthem is stronger and much more powerful. The intro is freaking amazing and the message behind the song is 100% girl power. Little Mix are proving with this song that woman are individuals instead of 'just pretty things' and that we can and reach anything we want to do.
So this song is for all the ladies across the world and spread the message: Get your killer heels, sneakers, pumps or lace up your boots. Representing all the women, salute, salute!
